HOW IT STARTED

Like most modern women, Lisa’s just doing her best to juggle everything she is to everyone in her life. She’s a native New Yorker, working actress, wife, mother, PTA president, marathon runner, yoga instructor, and board member of Molière in the Park - but the inspiration for HEALS came about while working her long time side hustle as a high fashion shoe model.

Lisa was in the atelier minding her own business and patiently waiting while designers measured her feet and talked shop - when suddenly André Leon Talley, the larger than life editor of Vogue dropped by unannounced and asked to see the latest shoe designs.

Caught by surprise, the designers only had prototype shoes available - which aren’t sized to fit the typical high fashion model. So, in a fit of desperation - they shoved Lisa, (who is 5’0” on a good day,) to walk the runway for the most famous man in fashion.

Heals is a bingeworthy series loosely based on the life of Lisa Gorlitsky
